This is a wonderfully useful combination of the puukko knife, used for smaller camp chores and carving, and the leuku, used for larger chores like butchering and chopping wood, both in the same sheath.

The Lappland Puukko is the traditional utility knife of the Sami people. Its design has evolved over the centuries into one of the most versatile and functional knives in existence today. This is a solid all-around camp or utility knife, featuring a long, medium-width stainless steel blade lightly inscribed with the Iisakki Järvenpää signature. The blade is a bit larger than a traditional puukko, meaning that this knife is intended for heavier-duty camp and wilderness chores. The handle is made from curly birch wood, sanded and polished to a smooth finish, and has a flared pommel to prevent the knife from slipping out of your hand.

The Leuku is the traditional camp knife of the Sami, who are indigenous to the far northern region of Scandinavia. It is used for butchering game, building shelter, skinning, and chopping wood. These are large, serious knives designed for serious wilderness chores. The blade is lightly inscribed with the Iisakki Järvenpää signature. When you hold this knife in your hand, you can feel the solid construction and high quality. The handle is made from curly birch wood, sanded and polished to a smooth finish, and has a flared pommel to prevent the knife from slipping out of your hand.

The sheath is nicely detailed with stamped and stained artwork, it contains a plastic liner to prevent the very sharp blade from slicing through, and the belt loop is a twisted leather cord, which allows the knife to swing freely and keep out of the way when you're crouching or sitting.
