Knives of the North is proud to carry Ballistol. It is an outstanding anti-corrosive and rustproofing agent, originally developed by Germany in the early 1900s. It works both wet and dry; when it dries it leaves behind a residue that protects metal from moisture and oxygen. It can also be used as a wood sealant and preservative. It continues to be popular in Europe for protecting knives and firearms. It is food-safe and biodegradable, but as with most oils and solvents, should be kept away from clothing and leather as it will stain. It doesn't smell that nice though, and it's not recommended for nickel- or chrome-plated firearms.
