The Bear Hunter is a big, heavy knife for serious hunters. The metal pommel is cast into the shape of a roaring bear's head, and the knife blade is long, wide, and thick. The Leuku is the traditional camp knife of the Sami, who are indigenous to the far northern region of Scandinavia. It is used for butchering game, building shelter, skinning, and chopping wood. These are large, serious knives designed for serious wilderness chores. The blade is lightly inscribed with the Iisakki Järvenpää signature. When you hold this knife in your hand, you can feel the solid construction and high quality. The handle is made from curly birch wood, lacquered and polished to a smooth finish.

The sheath is nicely detailed, it contains a plastic liner to prevent the very sharp blade from slicing through, and the belt loop is attached by a metal D-ring so that it swings freely and keeps out of the way when you're crouching or sitting.

This is quite an attractive piece and would make a great gift for any outdoors enthusiast!
