The Courer de Bois trade knife is named after the French "woods runners" who were prevalent in Colonial North America.  The blade has a slight drop-point profile and is suitable for dressing game, light skinning, or as an all-around utility knife.  Rather than a belt loop, the sheath for this knife features a long leather cord so that this knife can be carried around the neck.
