Nying is perhaps the most classic knife of all Helle models. In its time, the knife took the expression "short knife" to new heights. When it was released in 1977, it revolutionized the tolle knife genre by cutting the length of the blade in half, in addition to its innovative handle shape.
The handle is made from a solid piece of oiled masur birch that is well proportioned in relation to the knife blade. The curve in the front of the blade provides both a good grip and protection against slipping forward on the blade when working with the knife. The blade is shaped with the intention of providing maximum control when using it.
The knife comes in a classic leather sheath with a loop that secures the knife in the sheath and a belt loop. It is decorated with a carved Selburus rose.
Below are the detailed measurements of this knife. One important note: for best comfort and grip, the length of your middle finger should be similar to the circumference of the handle.
